What's for Dinner Tonight? Please Don't Cry

It's that time of year for a warm hearty split-pea soup in the crock pot when you come home from work. Or a chili perfectly stewed when it's time to start dinner. I love my crock pot and the convenience and I usually can't wait to get it out.

My daughter however, cries when she sees it. Yes, she literally cries. She's made me pledge to only serve crock pot dinners once a week. Think maybe it's time for me to find some new recipes?
